Anti-Hi-Cut Systems (aka "Treble Bleed Networks")

I´m sure you know this idiosyncracies inherent in passive guitar and bass pickup systems, when you turn down the volume (even just a bit), the high end or treble loss is NOT proportionate !!! In other words, a small cut in volume creates a far greater loss in your guitar´s treble response. The best solution would be to replace the complete system for an active one but there is another method to combate the "volums vs. tone" problem.

Our ready to drop in treble bleed networks are highly selected for minimal tolerances and tested for tone. They will not only compensate the treble loss in passive guitar and bass systems, they will also smooth out the complete taper of the volume pot which can be more of an on/off swith sometimes than a helpful control. You can use this system in singlecoil as well as humbucker loaded guitars and bases. The physics behind this is very complexe and for maximum performance you can´t use a standard network for all guitars. Every network is custom made and highly selected. The prices are for one treble bleed network, for eg. a Les Paul you will need two of them ! In general you can say, that you will need one network for each volume pot in the guitar.

If you can´t find your guitar or bass type here, please email us and we can calculate and make a custom network for you. All standard sets use high quality caps and resistors with very low tolerances and are tested for function and tone. The premium sets go one step further, they use NOS military graded caps (silver mica or styroflex) and 0.1% tolerance metal film resistors, all attached with silver solder. If you also want to buy some matched pots from us, we install the treble bleed networks free of charge for you to the volume pots and x-check them before shipping.
